Ingredients
- Oats - 1 cup (quick oats, rolled oats or steel cut oats)
- Milk - 1 cup (Boiled milk if not ready to go milk)
- Nuts - 1/3 cup (Increase per your need)
- Honey - 1/4 cup(Increase according to your taste)
- Raisins - 1/4 cup
- Salt - 1 pinch
- Ghee - 1 - 2 tsp
Roast the nuts, raisins and oats in 2 tsp ghee |
- You can coarsely grind the nuts if its difficult for kids to eat.
- Not suitable for kids less than one year.
- Choose any nut of your choice(cashews, almonds, walnut, pistachios.....)
- In a vessel bring ghee to warm on medium heat.
- Roast the nuts for about 30 seconds.
- To it, add the raisins and roast for 15 seconds.
- Add the oats and roast until you get the aroma of the oats.
- Add 3 cups of water and cook the oats. Depending on the oats that you are using this may take anywhere from 5 min to 15 min (check the instruction in the package).
Once the oats is cooked add milk and remove from stove - Once the oats is cooked add the milk and remove from stove and set aside for 2 - 3 min.
- Serve with honey and enjoy the milky, nutty oats.
