Strawberry smoothie ready! |
Now that we are enjoying the colorful Spring and hot Summer is fast approaching, we can have a nice treat on a hot day. My kids like Jamba Juice very much. It was not that complicated to make healthy and yummy juice just like them. I started making different flavors of smoothies at home. It turned out to be a big hit with my two boys. Here is the recipe for the strawberry smoothie (with more to follow)....

Serving size: 3
Ingredients
- Strawberries - 10 or 12 nos
- Milk - 3/4 cup
- Honey - 2 tbsp
- Ice Cream - 1 scoop(Vanilla or Strawberry flavor - optional)
- Flax seed powder - 1 tsp

Preparation
Add milk, honey or ice cream and blend |
- Slice the strawberries into halves and blend it in mixie/blender until it is coarsely ground.
- Add the milk, ice cream, flax seed powder and blend it for about a minute.
- Pour in juice glass and serve.
- If you do not have ice cream in reserve, just add honey.
- To get thicker smoothie(Jamba Juice style), add ice cubes and blend.
The fresh strawberries have loads of vitamin C to boost our immunity. The vitamin C also keeps you looking young. Strawberry and flax seed powder are rich in fiber too. Milk is rich in calcium which gives healthy teeth and bones. It is also rich in protein for cell rejuvenation. Flax seed is rich is omega-3 fatty acids.
Give your kids the strawberry smoothie in the suggested style or Jamba Juice style and chill out with your family.....
