Mix the flour, oats, nuts and finally the chocolate chips |
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- Cream together the butter and sugars in a big bowl. I use an electric hand mixer to cream together the ingredients.
- Add the vanilla essence, baking soda, baking powder, nutmeg powder, cinnamon powder, salt(if using unsalted butter) and mix.
- To the mix, add the butter milk and cream it with the electric hand mixer until the mix turn soft and fluffy.
- To the creamed mix, add the all purpose flour, oats and nuts(optional) and give it a mix with the electric hand mixer.
- Finally add the chocolate chips and this time mix with spatula to not break the chocolate chips .
- Form lemon size balls and flatten using hand(grease with oil if dough is too sticky) and spread on the baking tray which has a parchment paper. You can also use cookie scoop if you don't want to use your hand. My kids like smooth cookies, so I flatten it with hand.
